For those breast cancer survivors under 45 years of age:
Want to find a way to better navigate stressful times?
The residential retreat which covers two full weekends will be held this year on 5/6/7 April and 3/4/5 May in Christchurch. Attendance at both weekends is mandatory and the programme will be based upon the ’8 week Mindfulness Meditation Course’ work of Jon Kabat-Zinn. This course enables you to learn the basics of mindfulness and how to apply it to your life. Its been around for centuries in the East, but we are only just learning of its value in the West! . You can learn more here Flyer – Shocking Pink Mindfulness Retreat
Usually the course is $500 per person plus accommodation and food but thanks to the wonderful generosity of the Max Foundation they are able to offer this at just $200 per person! Course fees include accommodation, food, ongoing support and course handouts – travel to and from the venue in Christchurch is your responsibility (however we are currently working on securing some funding to help with travel costs for those out of town who wish to join us – watch this space!).
The course is open to any young woman aged 20-45 and living in NZ who has experienced a diagnosis of breast cancer in the last 5 years.
Numbers are strictly limited to 10 participants so register your interest early to avoid disappointment.
To enrol, please complete the expression of interest form and we will then email you the detailed course description, registration form and requirements (please note you may be contacted by Kirsty to discuss your application). If you then wish to secure a place – you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or use the Contact Form and once you have paid your fee in full via the Shocking Pink shop – we will confirm your place.
