Some people with breast cancer use complementary therapies to help with some of the side effects of their cancer treatment and to increase their overall sense of wellbeing. For example, some people find massage can help them relax or that acupuncture helps with nausea.
Complementary therapies are used alongside conventional medical treatments and for this reason they differ from alternative therapies, which are used instead of conventional medical treatment (Breast Cancer Care UK).

The Healing Ministry of Father John Rea
I am all into healing and through a range of mechanisms, especially if they work. So I thought I would tell you about Father John Rea, a Catholic Priest with a healing gift.
I first heard about Father John Rea from a friend. She had met him through her church and seen some of the benefits from his healing prayers. There seem to be a lot of people who have been healed miraculously after receiveing prayer from Father John (details are on his websiteand Father John has also written books documenting healing case studies). However, of course I can give you no guarantees.
I have met with Father John a few times now with friends and family and he has brought peace to many people I know. For those who are going through breast cancer or other illnesses, you may like to consider a spiritual healing element to accompany your physical treatments. And here is a wonderful man who may be able to assist you.
Disclaimer, I am not Catholic but am open to anything that can help us so I thought I would tell you about him. Father John can be contacted via his website and also can pray for others through email requests.
Father John does not charge for healing services and does not accept donations. Father John is based in Wellington, New Zealand but often travels to help others.
From his website:
John Rea’s ministry of healing is a gift he’s been given. “I just pray with people for healing and the rest is up to the Lord,” he said.
A humble man, there is however little doubt that he is an agent of God’s healing and he leaves a trail of healings in his tracks. Among this list of those healed as a result of John’s prayer with them, includes a woman whose cancer disappeared, a child violinist whose crushed hand was cured, and a dumb teenager with paralysis whose paralysis and speeach was reversed.
No longer surprised by the healings. “When this is been happening for so long, you can hardly call it luck,” he says.
John Rea has been praying with people in this way since 1974. The one constant that he’s identified is the need for faith. It may not be the faith of the person who is healed, but can be that of a friend, parent, or loved one. There is no set formula for his prayer, except to say they are simple and not long.
